Het Amsterdam Student Film Festival is op 4 februari in beide zalen te zien.

On February 4th, the nominated films from Amsterdam Student Film Festival will be shown in both screeningrooms.
It is possible to buy a ticket for the screening including the Closing Ceremony,
or a ticket for the screening of the nominated films.
Op 4 februari 2025 vindt het Amsterdam Student Film Festival (AmsFF) 2025 plaats in FC Hyena in Amsterdam-Noord. Dit evenement wordt georganiseerd in samenwerking met MUBI, Cineville en Subbacultcha. Van 21:00 tot 23:00 worden de genomineerde films vertoond in beide zalen. Het AmsFF-team heeft een programma samengesteld met de beste korte studentenfilms van 2023/2024, ingezonden door scholen zoals de Gerrit Rietveld Academie, HKU, UvA en internationale scholen buiten Nederland. Alle films zijn voorzien van Engelse ondertiteling.
Om 23:00 is er een sluitingsceremonie in zaal 2, waarbij de genomineerde filmmakers in de schijnwerpers worden gezet. Vanaf 23:15 is er een afterparty met DJ SquidEye. De afterparty is gratis toegankelijk, ook voor mensen zonder festivalticket, en biedt een unieke kans om filmfanaten en filmmakers te ontmoeten!
Het hoofddoel van AmsFF is het creëren van een platform voor student-filmmakers, zodat zij hun visie tot leven kunnen brengen, ongeacht de middelen waarover zij beschikken. Het festival streeft ernaar een ruimte te bieden waar deze filmmakers hun werk kunnen delen, netwerken en van elkaar leren. Dit is een festival, gemaakt door en voor filmmakers aan de randen van de filmindustrie.
On February 4, 2025, the Amsterdam Student Film Festival (AmsFF) 2025 will take place at FC Hyena in North Amsterdam. This event is organized in collaboration with MUBI, Cineville, and Subbacultcha. From 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the nominated films will be screened in both halls. The AmsFF team has curated a program featuring the best short student films of 2023/2024, submitted by schools such as the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, HKU, UvA, and international schools outside the Netherlands. All films will include English subtitles.
At 11:00 PM, a closing ceremony will take place in Hall 2, where the nominated filmmakers will be put in the spotlight. Starting at 11:15 PM, there will be an afterparty featuring DJ SquidEye. The afterparty is free to attend, even for those without a festival ticket, offering a unique opportunity to meet film enthusiasts and filmmakers!
The main goal of AmsFF is to create a platform for student filmmakers, enabling them to bring their vision to life, regardless of the resources at their disposal. The festival aims to provide a space where these filmmakers can share their work, network, and learn from one another. This is a festival made by and for filmmakers on the fringes of the film industry.
